Terms of Service

Plain English: Use Hypertab lawfully, protect your credentials, pay charges you explicitly agree to, and export your data before closing an account. The detailed sections below control over this summary.

Legal review status: The verified service-operator legal identity, physical notice address, governing law, and court venue are not yet published. This beta operating draft is not evidence that legal launch review is complete. Public launch requires the operator to supply those facts and qualified counsel to approve the final terms. 1. Acceptance

  • By creating a Hypertab account, calling our API with a Hypertab API key, or using our Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
  • If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company.
  • If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

  • Hypertab provides an "active table" platform: tables, smart columns (HTTP, formula, integration, waterfall, lookup, extract), MCP server, REST API, real-time sync, and webhooks.
  • We may add, modify, or remove features. We will notify customers in advance of changes that materially reduce functionality of paid plans.
  • The service is provided as-is. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uptime. Hypertab does not currently offer a public SLA.

3. Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your password and API keys confidential. Treat API keys like passwords — anyone with one can act as you.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account, including agent activity initiated by AI tools you connect via MCP.
  • Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access. Rotate compromised keys in Settings → MCP & API Keys.
  • Public-beta workspaces are single-user. Do not share a login or API key with another person. Team access is not currently available.

4. Free plan and ops

  • Free includes 5,000 ops per month and does not require payment. Pro and extra capacity are not currently available for purchase or activation. No Pro price, billing cadence, op limit, or record limit is committed; joining the waitlist is not an offer or order form.
  • One op is one successful Hypertab action. A create, update, delete, import, API write, or MCP write uses one op per request. A smart-column execution uses one op for each cell or external source it successfully processes. Reads and failed actions use zero ops.
  • When you exceed Free ops, new writes and workflow executions pause until the next monthly reset. Supported read access continues. Hypertab does not auto-charge overages.
  • Emailing about planned Pro access joins a waitlist only and does not create a paid agreement.

5. Acceptable use

  • You may not use Hypertab to: send unsolicited bulk email or SMS (spam), scrape sites in violation of their terms of service, engage in fraud or money laundering, distribute malware, harass or threaten people, or violate the rights of third parties.
  • You may not use Hypertab to compete with Hypertab itself — for example, building a hosted active-table service on top of our infrastructure.
  • You may not benchmark or stress-test the service without prior written consent. Reach out at [email protected] for permission.
  • External API workflows: you are responsible for the requests you send and the outputs you act on.
  • We may suspend accounts violating these rules with notice. In severe cases (illegal activity, active threats) we may suspend without notice.

6. Your data

  • You own your data. We claim no rights to the Tables, records, columns, instructions, or outputs you store in Hypertab.
  • You grant us a limited license to process your data solely to operate the service for you (run smart columns, deliver webhooks, sync in real time, etc.).
  • We do not train AI models on your data.
  • See the Privacy Policy at /privacy for details on data isolation, retention, and your rights.

7. Hypertab intellectual property

  • The Hypertab name, logo, and brand are controlled by the Hypertab service operator. You may not use them without permission, except to factually identify Hypertab as a tool you use.
  • The Hypertab software, API, MCP server, and documentation are protected by copyright and other applicable rights. A repository or package is available for reuse only to the extent its own published license says so; these terms do not grant a separate software license.

8. Third-party services

  • HTTP smart columns, integrations, and webhooks call URLs you specify. You are responsible for ensuring you have permission to call those URLs and for handling responses correctly.
  • Hypertab is not responsible for outages, errors, or charges from third-party providers you integrate.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

  • The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  • We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected immediately.
  • External services can return inaccurate or harmful content. Verify critical outputs before acting on them.

10. Limitation of liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Hypertab service operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
  • Our total liability for any claim arising out of these terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or USD $100, whichever is greater.
  • These limits apply even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Termination

  • You may request account closure by emailing [email protected] from your account address. Self-service account deletion is not currently available in Settings. Retention and deletion are described in the Privacy Policy.
  • We may terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice except in cases of severe abuse.
  • There is currently no public paid plan, so no Pro billing or refund obligation is created through this site.

12. Disputes and applicable law

  • The service operator, governing law, and court venue have not yet been legally verified and published. This remains an open legal-review gate and must not be read as a claim that Hypertab is legally ready for unrestricted public launch.
  • Before filing a claim, contact [email protected] and give both sides a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue informally. This does not remove rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
  • Applicable mandatory rights and dispute rules depend on the verified operator identity, its location, the user, and any later written agreement reviewed for the relevant jurisdiction.

13. Changes to these terms

  • We post changes here and update the date above. When legally required, or when a change materially reduces existing paid-plan rights, we provide additional notice before the change takes effect.
  • Minor changes (clarifications, typo fixes) take effect on publication and are reflected in the "last updated" date at the top.
